The Missing Trunk and Other Stories - I

Two days in a forest lay spread in front of us to be filled with so many little stories full of fun!

The trip from Bangalore started much later than expected, but we were lucky to get a good and comfortable bus. Thanks to the organizers who took all the pain and made sure that everything was just perfect!

Sowmya was the first person to get ready, I suppose, and had to wait endlessly, till the bus finally arrived after hours! Her story of her encounter with Ramu, and how she plays him his favourite song 'Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya' is really interesting. She probably missed him so much that she was actually playing the song through the trip, every morning and also humming it always. She has promised to introduce him to me sometime soon.

Archana's intro/ragging was interesting. She braved all the questions hurled at her with her usual calmness.
I learnt the art of relaxing from her, was a pleasure to just watch her relax through the day, against the background of her choicest music. Whether it was sipping her tea, by the window gazing endlessly into the forests....or chatting away to glory entertaining her audiences, she was at her relaxed best!
Unfortunately for me, her playlist included no Sonu Nigam songs.

Ravi, amazing as usual, arranged the music and sound, including the mike and karaoke softwares, with such passion, that filled the rest house with music of all kinds blasting through the day and into the wee hours of the morning. No doubt, he is definitely connected with the cosmos, that explains the eternal smile on his face, and the way he executes everything to perfection!

Saru is an amazing girl, so much of laughter & fun, and very sportive. Its rare to see someone taking everything in such good spirits! She rocked the floor in the night and also in the rain, and with her ceaseless chatter.

Rashmi, the nice and soft spoken girl. Is in her own world, but yet has total fun and is very friendly. Something interesting about her is the way she occasionally calls out to her sister 'RajAni!' followed by a string of foreign Tulu words.

Rajani is full of energy and played a major role in the ragging and dance sessions. A very enthusiastic trekker, she lives upto the name "Royal Trekkers".

Vicky-I( Vikas Jadhav ) is a nice friend that I made on this trip. Liked his fundas and his hilarious performance with the 'Elephant Tale' on our return trip!
He and Raghu struck a nice chord together, that set them on an 'Ab tere bin' singing spree. They sang the song with the karaoke atleast 4 or 5 times, continuously, that the most gentlest Archana had to request them to stop, saying 'Can you please play something else?' :p

Simply loved Vijay's energy...It requires pure passion to come all the way from Hyderabad, and take so many days off to spend time with friends. And he was always so full of life throughout!
